Untitled no. 1

The broken bones,
we mend.

The broken dreams,
we adjust.

The broken expectations,
we settle.

The broken hearts,
They stay broken.

We merely learn to give out a piece of the whole.

There's a lot of good ones, but this is a great one!

By the way...

I might be changing my blog link to wordpress because I want to be able to integrate my twitter!

Surviving the library

I always neglect my dear blog, i guess I don't value my five followers the way I should. It's probably because I had to force you guys to follow me!! ("good" friends) :)

So today, I thought I should start writing a blog every week. It is afterall one of the cardinal rules of marketing (of myself, right now) consistency! Why would you guys come back if nothing was written? After deciding to write a blog every, I realize that I don't know what to write about. Then my second realization was I always write about random stuff. Therefore, today (and for the next week) my blog will be about my observations in the library.

Experience number one:
They were like this, but just triangular!

This experience was not a recent one, it has aged a bit. When in Bond university in Australia sometime october last year, I was in the library one day and I realized that chinese people cannot chew silently for dear life.

This girl, next to me, had bought five small (snack like) sandwiches. Every single one was torture. Whenever i heard one of the wrappers being torn I knew the sound tornado of chewing was about to be unleashed. If you thought I was annoyed you should have seen the guy at the other side of her. He was having an annoyance attack, i think after the second sandwich he would leave the room. Haha. Okay that's an immense exaggeration, what he did do whenever the munch began was roll back his chair and stair at the back of the girls head huffing. His actions led to my enjoyment.

I don't know what it is with chewing but it gets on my nerves, until it annoys someone. Then it's funny!

Odd Curiosity

www.iphonelolz.com
I am one or those people who have an innate curiosity to read what is going on next to me. I do realize that people need to respect personal space, specially in denmark. I know it's wrong, but I enjoy it. It's something I'm not supposed to know.

The smart phones on train give me great joy. People play games I like to follow, they write interesting emails i like to see. I mean, maybe I'm sitting next to someone who is actually someone and I don't even know it! But mostly I just follow the conservative newspaper. When I'm on the platform waiting for the train, I never get a newspaper because I tell myself that I'll read it on my phone or most commonly I prefer enjoying the ride. The problem is that as soon as someone else has it, in a child like manner, it suddenly becomes a lot more interesting. Last spring I was on the regional train glimpsing at the newspaper the man sitting next to me was reading. He started by giving me a few odd looks, to which I would respond by looking away for a couple of seconds. After a couple of times of this happening, he agreed to share the newspaper and when he was getting off he very kindly offered me the paper to keep reading. I took it and gave him a pleasing thank you.

Writing this on my phone, I now notice that the man next to me (who's email I was trying to read) seems very interested in what I am writing. Maybe we should get together and compare notes.

The Catastrophe and The Unfortunate

The devastation in Japan make me terribly sad. Knowing that people are suffering through directly and indirectly, is simply devastating. This morning i opened the newspaper, Berlingske, to see that an article had been written about rescue efforts finally arriving at a small fishing village up the north coast and not finding any survivors. I try to find meaning in it all and it doesn't make sense. You feel so powerless. The worst part is, that on one side of the world people have lost everything and keep losing more and more and on this side people have everything and keep getting more and more. What ever happened to fair? Sometimes you wish mother nature was fair, but at the same time fairness is scary because it might fall upon yourself.

Let us be happy we are lucky but let us not take that luck for granted. Japan is a perfect example of how that can vanish within minutes.

My thoughts go to Japan.

Not many people read my blog, probably because I rarely write in it, but if you have read it today. Share your fortune with the unfortunate, the link below link to the danish red cross donation site for Japan.

Reality is not sexy

Sex sells, that's what they say. I am personally not a direct purchaser, but could consider myself, an indirect one. Let me clarify. I am not in any way involved in any stage of the process of exchanging sex for money, not for myself or for anyone else. Not a career I see myself in, or have ever seen myself in. Pimpin' was as far as I recall, not part of my childhood ambitions or drawings.
What do I mean by indirect consumer? I'll try to explain. What I mean, is that I watch the series and the movies with all the good looking people. I see the advertising and it works for me. I would rather wear shoes or merchandise woren by Giselle Bundchen (if I could afford it) rather than Snookie from Jersey Shores. I like buying things that look pretty, the they'll reflect upon me. Why do I purchase things that are pretty and may make me look pretty? You tell me! ;)

Watching hollywood movies, and shows, and all that eternal advertising you are presented with all the ultimate sexual cliches that humans have and the really weird one's too (but I will not go in to that). You have the nurses, you have the maids, the firemen, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, etc. etc.... the list is endless But...

It all started in the library where I was studying, streaming Grey's Anatomy, checking Facebook, doing all those things you do in the library. Suddenly, the fire alarm went off. So i immediately grab my stuff and make my way out, on the way noticing how people were just not moving despite the loudest voice saying: "Emergency, please evacuate". Anyways, the only thing I make out of that, is that their Facebook must actually have been interesting, unlike mine. Outside, I was informed that it was nothing exciting, it was just a drill. I was annoyed, then suddenly a positive light was shed upon the situation when two firetrucks drove in to the campus for a ''drill rescue'. I might have been mildly (very mildly, baby) interested in what Australian firemen look like, so I decided to take a little peek. There they were the fireman ideal burning up in flame as the group of 50+ men with the large bellies descended from their trucks, definitely not moving with the hollywood fireman physique, speed, agility, hair, tan. Devastating reality check, and so the fire drill went back to being annoying. Don't get me wrong. I know what firemen do for a living is extremely wonderful and courageous... all I'm saying is that I would never buy their shoes.
Lies

More lies!
